1. Appeal is appropriate:

a) For violation of law and breach of form against:

1. The sentences handed down in a single instance or on appeal by the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Superior Courts of Justice.

2. The sentences handed down by the Appeals Chamber of the National audience.

b) For violation of the law of the reason provided for in number 1 of the article 849 against the sentences handed down on appeal by the Provincial Courts and the Criminal Chamber of the National Court.

2. Those that limit themselves to declaring the annulment of sentences handed down in the first instance are excepted.
