The investigating Judge will visit the local prisons once a week, without prior notice or a specific day, accompanied by an individual from the Public Prosecutor's Office, who may be the municipal Prosecutor delegated for this purpose by the Prosecutor of the respective Court; and where this Court exists, the President of the Court or the President of the Criminal Chamber and a Magistrate will make the visit, with an individual from the Public Prosecutor's Office and with the assistance of the Investigating Judge.

During the visit they will learn everything concerning the situation of the prisoners or detainees, and they will adopt the measures that fit within their powers to correct the abuses they notice.
