1. Those who promote, constitute, organize, coordinate or direct a criminal organization will be punished with a prison sentence of four to eight years if the purpose or object of that organization is the commission of serious crimes, and with a prison sentence of three to six years. years in other cases; and those who actively participate in the organization, are part of it or cooperate financially or in any other way with it will be punished with prison sentences of two to five years if the purpose is to commit serious crimes, and with the penalty of prison of one to three years in other cases.
For the purposes of this Code, a criminal organization is understood to be a group formed by more than two people on a stable basis or for an indefinite period of time, who in a concerted and coordinated manner distribute various tasks or functions in order to commit crimes.
2. The penalties provided for in the previous number will be imposed in their upper half when the organization:

3. The penalties provided for in this article will be imposed in their upper half if the crimes are against the life or integrity of persons, freedom, sexual freedom and indemnity or trafficking in human beings.
