1. Those who, having been legally required and under warning, fail to appear before a Commission of investigation of the Cortes Generales or a Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Community, will be punished as prisoners of the crime of disobedience. If he convict was an authority or public official, the penalty of suspension from employment or public office for a period of six months to two years will also be imposed.

2. The same penalties will be incurred by the authority or official who obstructs the investigation of the Ombudsman, Court of Accounts or equivalent bodies of the Autonomous Communities, refusing or unduly delaying the sending of the reports that they request or hindering their access to the files. or administrative documentation necessary for such investigation.

3. Anyone who is summoned before a parliamentary investigation commission and fails to tell the truth in his or her testimony will be punished with a prison sentence of six months to one year or a fine of 12 to 24 months.
