When the bribe mediates a criminal case in favor of the convict by his spouse or another person to whom he is stably linked by a similar emotional relationship, or by some ascendant, descendant or brother by nature, by adoption or similar in the same degrees, the briber will be sentenced to prison from six months to one year.

Article 425 of Penal Code Spanish is regulated in the chapter on bribery and refers to the penalties for bribery by one spouse when the other is in prison, in the same way for close relatives.
