1. The authority or public official who, outside the cases permitted by law, and without cause for crime, commits any of the acts described in this Chapter will be punished with the penalties respectively provided for in these, in its upper half, and may reach the highest level.

2. The following will be punished with the same penalties:

a) The public official or authority who, whether or not there is a crime, agrees, practices or prolongs the deprivation of liberty of anyone and who does not recognize said deprivation of liberty or, in any other way, conceals the situation or whereabouts of that person. depriving her of her constitutional or legal rights.

b) The individual who had carried out the acts with the authorization, support or acquiescence of the State or its authorities.

3. In all cases in which the acts referred to in this article have been committed by a public authority or official, the penalty of absolute disqualification for a period of eight to twelve years will also be imposed.
