3. When several subjects intervene in an event, the person or persons who desist from the execution that has already begun, and prevent or attempt to prevent, seriously, firmly and decisively, the consummation will be exempt from criminal liability, without prejudice to the responsibility they may have. incurred by the acts carried out, if these were already constitutive of another crime.
