1. Anyone who, by any means or procedure, causes another injury that impairs their bodily integrity or physical or mental health, will be punished, as convict of the crime of injury with a prison sentence of three months to three years or a fine of six to twelve months, provided that the injury objectively requires medical or surgical treatment, in addition to first medical assistance, for its health. Simple surveillance or optional monitoring of the course of the injury will not be considered medical treatment.
2. Anyone who, by any means or procedure, causes another injury not included in the previous section, will be punished with a fine of one to three months.
3. Anyone who hits or mistreats another without causing injury will be punished with a fine of one to two months.
4. The crimes provided for in the two previous sections will only be prosecutable through complaint of the aggrieved person or his legal representative.
